Frequency conversion speed control technology is an important development direction of modern power transmission technology, and as the core of the frequency conversion speed control system, the performance of the frequency converter has increasingly become the determinant of the speed control performance. In addition to the “innate” conditions of the manufacturing process of the frequency converter itself, what kind of control method is used for the frequency converter is also very important. The following inverter manufacturer Oakwood Technology will introduce the three main control methods of inverter:

1. It is controlled by the panel that comes with the inverter

It is characterized by convenience and practicality, and the operating status of the inverter can be intuitively seen through the display screen, and the fault alarm can be quickly checked.

2. Control through external terminal equipment

For example, buttons, switches, relays, PLCs or other various modules replace the operation panel that comes with the inverter, and these terminals are used to perform switches, jog, reset, or execute specific parameters. This control method can be performed remotely, but the control content of the inverter is limited.

3. Upper computer control, that is, communication control

The host computer sends data to the inverter to control relevant actions and modify parameters. When the host computer is connected to the Oakwood Intelligent Cloud platform, it can realize global control through mobile phones and computers, and view alarm information in real time. Therefore, communication control is the most convenient control method at this stage, and it also has the farthest control distance.
